Hi, I was having an issue with my 2018 golf R DSG popping out of gear sometimes when pulling away from an intersection. I thought i might run the transmission calibration of synchro points to try to fix it. Part way through the procedure i received a pop up on the instrument cluster saying transmission fault ok to drive. I have cleared the fault several times and attempted to rerun the tool using my obd11. Each time i start the car now i get the same fault. Any help or ideas would be great. Thanks.

Just figured it out. I had to run the basic transmission steps first and it cleared the fault.

I can this message up but find you have to do the basic settings after the synchro points to get it to clear. If you do it the other way round the fault still shows as no basic settings

The problem is not the basic setting. Probably needs to be parameterized with flash files

Hello, not long ago I bought a Golf 7.5 2017 2.0TDI DSG (7 speed). It's my first automatic so I'm relatively new to it all. I decided via OBD11 to do "Calibration of synchro points of Transmission" and after that I got an error and I managed to solve it by starting the application "Basic setting of transmission" as I read here on the forum. Namely, as I said I'm new, I don't remember how it was changed gears before calibration and how is it now because before I didn't pay too much attention to it. So let me ask you if it's normal that when I normally start from 1st gear it immediately shifts to 2nd gear at about 6-8 km/h and below 2000 rpm and when I need to stop, at about 3 km/h, switches to 1st gear? And one more question, when I drive normally, let's say in 5th gear, and when I need to stop all the way to 1st gear, they normally switch from 5th gear to 4th gear and 3rd gear but when it gets to 2nd gear it feels like it shifts it into neutral or like it's holding the clutch or whatever, I mean the revs drop really fast, like the clutch is being pressed on a manual transmission. If anyone knows anything about to that, I would ask him to tell me if it is all right or if it is something else. Thanks in advance.
