Hi, Is it possible to disable/deactive Start/Stop system by default on a Polo 2020 (pre-facelift) in a "base" version ? I've tried the OneClick App (10 credits) on two identical Polo but although they said that it was changed from "Default" to ON or OFF start-stop still is on at power up.
It sais "Start/Stop deactivation" so in my mind I've put it to ON (to deactivate). Drove around, no change. Then tried OFF ... same, no change.
Am I missing something ?
P.S: I want my 40 credits back ))

So after messing around in all units I've managed somehow to disable Start/Stop but now every 15 seconds an "Error: Start/Stop Unavailable" is displayed. Seems that this is not the right way to do it though...

If you still didn't found how to do, I had deactivate on my polo here : 19-Control unit (or Gateway) -> Adaptation - 10 -> "Start Stop Limit voltage" : enter the value 12.

This interesting information..
I often turn off Start Stop if running short journeys.
Is the disable function to disable completely or just to default to off unless specifically restored via the console button?
Thanks ps I presume you need a Pro Plan to do coding?

Generaly the temp feature just turns off the Stop Start feature.
You can buy a stop start memory module (ebay etc) and this allows the car to recall the last setting but you can still change it from on to off and off to on.

Thanks for that.. interesting memory module?
You seem to be the only person replying to most posts..
I'm hoping I can bring something useful to the table in time to help others.
Thanks

I am afraid the most active area's have very good support (Golf Mk7 onwards and some of the Audi sections) because lots of people have the cars and mod them.
Afraid for the other cars there are less people active.

I suppose there is going to be some crossover in knowledge between models and many questions being the same.
I'll take a look over there and see what can be picked up... not the coding parts...!
Thanks for your inputs anyway... I learned something new today

You should also read support.obdeleven.com/en/ this is the OBD11 help file system which gives answers to some basic application issues.
Not sure if you are Android or IOS but be aware IOS is the poorer supported operating system and if you have a BMW in the family you can use your dongle on them as well.
It is also possible to use it on non VAG/BMW motors but not Porche or Jap cars as the wiring is different on the OBD2 port.
you should also check for car specific forums like www.uk-polos.net/viewtopic.php?t=71718 and if you see VCDS coding its the same on OBD11 but the function labels are a bit different (very easy to work out once you get used to it)

I'll check that out.. many thanks. Grateful. I did notice on other forums (inc UKPolos.net) as you mentioned that whilst VCDS reports (apparently) soot in grammes OBDEleven reports percentages. Well that is what I see on the app. Would be nice to know what relates to what specifically.. there are two full pages of live data in percentages - just on the various particulates (oil, ash etc) on my Android device. like these... [img src=" i.ibb.co/9H1PJsW/GPF-data.png" src="" style="max-width:100%;" alt=""] I anyone ever sees a direct reference between the two it would be very interesting.. especially the percentage versus grammes. Be nice to set up a page of reference for other beginners like me. LOL

I am afraid that support team are not (unlike VCDS) Doing the nice thing to provide a reference site with info.
I have raise on there facebook page to stop doing stupid blog pages about stuff none of us are interested in but instead do someting good like how to do a DPF Regen (across the board of control unit protocols) but not expecting anything to happen.
With regards to reference info, start a thread under App Usage Tips and hopefully others will give you more info so you can build the table.
Personally I just built a web page where I can put this info for my motor and some general things like Battery Recode (again for all protocols)
