Hi there! I bought an A4 B9 and I did some coding on the vehicle as high beam assist, lane assist with obd11 apps... Everything is working fine, but today i noticed that the dimmer knob on the dashboard is no longer working, no effect even by night with beams on.
This button was working before because i tried it when I get the car for the first time, so I'm suspecting a coding mistake.
I searched on the forum and found this topic with similar problem.
The solution to long code unit 09 (central electric) byte 17 bit 1 to 0 state is not working for me. I waited 15 min before switching on the car and re-test. So I reverse and put back the bit 1 to 1 state.
Is there a reboot or something i missed ?
Thank you for help
François

You should try resetting the MMI, after coding. Press the Car/Nav, Radio buttons forward, while pressing the centre circular button in unison.
I do this after every coding, to ensure the changes are implemented.

Hi
Thank you for reply! I tried to reset MMI with this procedure, it was unsucessfull.
Is there somewhere I can find which modules and associated bytes are related to the dashboard dimmer management ? I've done severals research on google but i didn't find anything in this way.
The car is A4 B9 2018 with virtual cockpit.
Thank you for help

Check the "Manuals" section within your Obdeleven app, for the resetting process.
As for where to find info related to bytes and bits, unfortunately I can't help you - I don't believe any master lists exist for the A4 B9.

I had same dead dash dimmer knob with A4 b9. Returned with coding:
(09) Central Electrics dim_poti_src Old coding: dimm_value_from_bap New: dimm_value_from_lin
