Hello all, I am new here and I just picked up a new to me 2020 Audi S6. I have checked the settings and it doesnt appear that I have an ambient lighting package. However, when I start the vehicle I get a red led strip on side doors that shuts off after a few seconds. Is there a way I can activate this lighting via OBD? Sorry I am new to this, everything I have searched is about multicolor which I don't care about.

You can always test if you have different colours by activating the showroom mode through the app for 10 credits. If so, then it might be possible. If not, it's probably not going to happen.

Do you know if your car is equiped with Lane change assist?
Sounds like it might be the warning lamps for lane assist flashing, when starting up.
Normally the warning lights is fitted in the wing mirror, If the car is not having ambient light factory fitted.
The new seat Leon, has lane assist warning light as standard in the door panel only. Might be that Audi is into that as wel.l
Have a look at the below video from 0:37 - 0:42 Sec. it's the proces when the lane assist starts up. this A6 har has both!

The red light is testing the feature when someone drives by and you try to open your door, the door will not open to prevent you from opening your door into traffic (bicycles and pedestrians too). The red light will turn on during the start up test, and also if you try to open your door with traffic approaching.
I have seen others try to program the red lights to turn on in different forums for the C8 A6 and different Audi's none have been successful.
