Hi - I have a 2017 A4 (B9) Quattro that was equipped with Basic + City Pre-Sense (according to the window sticker). I do have the forward-looking camera that tells me when I need to apply brakes. My A4 did not have Lane Assist installed by the factory. I think that Active Lane Assist was installed by OBDeleven to some level, but I don't get any steering wheel feedback when I deviate outside of the lanes. I installed these OBDeleven Apps in this order: - Lane Assist Step 1=Activated (Saw some kind of "Contact Support" error message)
- Lane Assist Step 2=Active without LD Button
- Lane Assist Deactivation Threshold=Late
- Personalization of Lane Departure=Activated after engine start
- Lane Assist Wheel Vibration=Strong
- Lane Assist Steering Support=Strong
I know that some level of Lane Assist has been activated. When I go to the Driver Assist window on the cockpit display, I now see green lane bars light up as I am driving. I never saw that before.
However, I don't get any sort of lane departure physical feedback (vibration or steering) when I veer out of a lane without using the turn signals.
Does my Audi need additional equipment to activate the Active Lane Assist steering wheel feedback?
Or, do I need to do some additional programming through the OBD device?
Thanks,
AzJazz

UPDATE: OK, I found part of the solution (and possibly the full solution).
I needed to go into the MMI Vehicle Settings, and activate the now-visible Active Lane Assist menu item features. I now get steering wheel vibration when the car diverges from the lane without signaling first.
However, I don't seem to get any sort of vehicle corrective steering effect. Is the corrective steering extremely subtle, even when the OBDeleven Lane Assist Steering Support=Strong?

I followed the coding in this thread: forum.obdeleven.com/thread/945/coding-turning-audi-active-assist?page=1&scrollTo=3528Followed all coding, except for Central Electrics "Heading Control" (I kept getting Pre-sense faults at that stage), and everything works for me - settings present vai MMI, lane markings shown in the gauge cluster, and feedback from the steering wheel (vibrate and corrective steering). I also only have pre-sense city, and in my experience, the vehicle should be able to actively correct its heading.

To test the Lane Assist Steering Support, I drove on the highway through a slow curve while taking my hands lightly off the steering wheel. I saw that the Steering Assist was working, where the steering wheel would lightly turn in the proper direction to keep the car centered in the lane. After a few seconds of the steering wheel controlling the turn, I heard a double-beep and saw a "Put your hands back on the wheel, you idiot!" alert show up on the cockpit display.
I guess the "Strong" setting isn't really very strong.
