Today i get my odbeleven Adapter. After installation i wanted to reset the Service intervall longlife. The SW show me that this Feature is not supported. After more 5 minutes i realized that no one of the apps will be supported. I assume that i have a similar Problem like 'new member' in topic help-golf-mk5-shows-mk6. Link: obdeleven.proboards.com/thread/1279/help-golf-mk5-shows-mk6E.g. After VIN Input the year of construction is shown in 2009, but 2008 is the truth. Have anyone an idea what i can do? Regards ommo

In YOUR case, don't use the APPs option. your VIN is actually stating the truth. Model year and manufactured year don't have to be the same.
What you have is a 2008.5 car with is when they started using the MK6 modules in the MK5 (you should be happy for this as it gives you bonus options that regular MK5 would not have gotten as yet).
Do these steps manually instead.

Hi again, Thank you for information. But, when i reset the service as described in video, i loose the longlife service intervall. Only 15000km service can be resettet manually, respectively you changed after manuel reset to 15000km service. So, Thats not the best option for me. What for bonus options do i have with my 2008.5 car? Maybe there are some interesting functionalities i would like to test.
Thanks in advance ommo

What for bonus options do i have with my 2008.5 car? If you have a GTI, then you should get cluster staging celebration (where all the dials on your instrument cluster sweep from minimum to maximum position then back to their real-time figures when you initially switch on the ignition). You get the latest gateway for that car (at least the revision "L" that allows you to swap to a newer RCD /RNS head-unit without the fear of draining your battery when the ignition is off (since the head unit doesn't allow the car to go to sleep). There are so many features, but they just don't come to mind right now since I just have the 2008 model Some of the 2008.5 also come with the first generation TSI engines (not to be confused with the previous TFSI engines). The TSI features valve-lift where the TFSI didn't (just the adjustable valve overlap)
