Hi everyone, My battery on my 2007 Audi A6 when kapoot and I decided that I would buy an OBD11 with the pro version, to reprogram the new battery, so I don't need to pay the Audi dealership to do it. Everything was looking good - got the new battery hooked up and then I followed the forums/videos on how to complete the battery adaptation; however, when I go into gateway -> adaptations, I don't get the list of adaptations but get the channel code input. I inputted channel 004 (which videos have done) but when I hit enter the channel is blank and I get a request timeout error and can't view or edit the battery code. I have read previous forums, and redownloaded the app, cleared the error codes, tired on a different phone, and tried on the old battery and nothing. Does the 2007 A6 need to have the battery adapted? Has anyone run into this issue before and know a fix? I have reached out to the OBD11 support team, however they have just said to ask the forums. There is a battery regulation section, where I can see the old battery serial number, however I can't change that value. The value I can change is: 0000049 - and I don't know what that is referring to/what to change it to. I have added some pictures for what I am seeing on the app. Any help would be much appreciated! Thank you

Hi
Exactly the same for me - I seem to think the control units in our models don't support the 'adaptation' as per most of the instructions out there on the interweb. I can't even get into the long coding option.
I hope, maybe between us, we can find a solution, and perhaps share it here?
Thanks
Ken

it was there as it is in my history - i think voltas are focusing on newer cars younger owners who prefer joker lights and needle sweeps.... if i get time i will log a ticket and see

I had changed my BCM - it was with the old one i was able get the long coding information - With the refurbished one the seller did state that no programming was required. I read at the weekend that some modules do require programming some do not. so maybe if it aint there it aint required.

Can any one help me long coding the new battery as value didn't changed.. the video posted by voltas is for older version without any explanation.. plz help So old thread I know but ill post steps on how to do it using next generation pro version 1. Plug in odb to port and turn car on without engine on 2. Go into control modules/battery regulation/subsystems/long coding 3. Press and hold any of the numbers on top and a pop box with value will show...for example like this 344630393135313035442056413033353037323550303532 key part is this, on that pop up box press the ASCll button it will now show you what your old version is in BEM value mine turned to this after pressing ASCll 4F0915105D VA0350725P052 4. Rewrite those series of numbers letters with the bem sticker on your battery for example mine was diehard H9 AGM platinum battery My bem sticker codes written in value string was this 4P0915105D JCB23020660OE What it looks like without ASCll button 34503039313531303544204A434232333032303636304F45 5. After you write new value press ok and click the green check box Your done! * To check if it worked go into battery regulation/subsystems/instead of pressing long coding press info instead it'll show you the value in this form 34503039313531303544204A434232333032303636304F45 Match yours up to see if it registered. Good luck...took a week of trying even with another odb device made to code batteries no luck returned it and made appointment 1 shop wanted 100$ to code another shop said 200$ watched the video posted above and figured it out phew!
