2019 GTI
When listening to the radio, I can't hear the fake blinker sound at all.
It'd be nice to hear it when I tip the stalk for that 3-blink routine (which I changed to 5 and that's much better!) so I don't have to look to be sure it's working as I change lanes.

Haven’t seen anyone that’s found a way, but what you could do is put a buzzer of some kind on one of the indicator wires, may get annoying tho, or even a louder relay behind the clocks (just need earth and indicator voltage

vwjap : I agree with your conclusion and I've never looked behind the hex17 module - but Shirley not? The wiring diagrams for mk7/7.5 don't actually show how the turn-signal sound is generated, but the signal, itself is generated in the steering wheel module and it's transmitted to multiple modules as a CAN message. Shirley UDS based Dashboard modules built in 21st century don't still use electro-mechanical relays to produce the blinking sound?? Don

Don I wouldn’t have thought so no, but I meant run a wire from the relay or a indicator wire to behind the clocks making it authentic,
