I purchased an OBDeleven on the Cyber Monday deal today.
After I had placed my order I found out that I will need to purchase a yearly subscription to enable basic functionality such as clearing maintenance messages / codes. I was shocked.
What the heck is OBDeleven thinking? I just dumped $100 on a device that can't clear maintenance messages where I can purchase an OBD2 for half that price that clears them for free?
I went back to my order page to cancel the order, and I can't find how to cancel it.
Does anybody know how I can cancel my order before it ships to me? I definitely don't want to pay the cost of shipping it back overseas, now that I know I can't use this device.

Don't know where you have that information from but it's definitely false. You can clear trouble codes with the basic version of OBDeleven. For a full comparison between basic and pro click the following link: obdeleven.com/en/apps-and-features

Hi, Thirsty - Do you know what the "Diagnostic service change" option is listed under Pro? Isn't that the way to reset / modify the periodic XX,000 mile Maintenance Service messages that I see pop up on the Audi driver display?
If I can clear / modify the Maintenance Service messages that require an VAG-compatible OBD2 device for the extended capability, then I'll be fine.
I had asked other OBDeleven owners on another board about clearing these messages, and they said that this was a Pro feature and that I now needed a subscription for Pro.
If I have this information incorrect, I apologize.

Ok know i know what you're talking abount. With basic you can clear fault codes but you can't reset your service manually. However there are a lot of one click apps which should allow you to reset the service even with the basic variant. (You can get the credits for free if you watch ads/open the app every day) Sorry that i did not understand the question properly. Hopefully this will help you decide

Hi,
Diagnostic service change is not related to service inspection reset. It is an advanced feature, where you can change the diagnostic mode - OBD diagnostic mode, development mode, end of assembly line mode, etc. Basically, if you don't know what it is, likely it does not concern you.
Maintenance service messages can be cleared using one-click apps, which are available even for basic version users (no need for PRO or Ultimate).
Which pack did you get by the way?
