Hello.
I replaced my faulty DCC/Indicator stalk on my mk7 golf which fixed the problem but now leads to another due to having not being coded. This seems to effect 03 module brakes as it can’t communicate with said module. I have no history to go by as I replaced before I had obd11 and didn’t know it would need coding. Can anyone give me a long code for module 16 steering column. Or can I plug old one back in and get the details and then transfers to new.br]Any help appreciated

dougie: hi. short answer is that it depends on the type of problem that is present on your car. Why not post-up a copy of your scan report so that we can see the exact nature of the problem. Hello thank you for your reply. The transmission code as now gone and I have fixed the petrol flap error. Only the brakes code will not reset throwing a Light on the dash.

Update. I have resolved this issue. I connected up old steering column stalks and noted down the long coding then installed replacement and copied the code over. I did this by taking screen shots in the long coding section. But I image you can transfer old history to new but I’m new this and not sure how.
