Hi to you and everyone else who will have this issue. I read through countless forums to try and find the answer and I ended up taking codes of other A1's and S1's and comparing the long coding in the central electrics to finally figure out how to fix this issue.
go to
cent. elec 09 - Long Coding - Byte 21 and change the bit value to EF - This will bring back your wipers and your headlights will stop having an error.
I also had to go in and do the basic settings for the headlights via module 55. Just go Basic setting > Basic Headlamp setting - Activate for 5 seconds then stop then go Acknowledge basic settings - activate for 5 seconds then stop and then clear all codes.
I hope this helps.
Regards, Darius
