CH LH is activated by default in the Golf 8 with IQ lights. At least it was in mine. Further, there is an option to use "animated" ON / OFF switching. No coding needed  |

No animation possible. They did not install the hardware controller needed for this
Only dimming up and turning them on one after another

This animation is available from the factory, no coding needed.
It’s called ‘animation’ the settings for CH LH.
To further clearify for OP. When animation is activated, the lights will dim in succession when they turn off and on. It’s a subtle effect for sure, but looks cool.
