I just press the 'View' button on my steering wheel!?
If you mean activating the views:
Control Unit 17 > Adaptations > View activation
I believe it's View 3 and 4 you need to activate, but I can't confirm.

View 3 or 4 gives the default view with only the car in front with the ACC distance, like in the image below. What I would like to see is the other traffic around. Maybe there is a setting to be turned on

Do you have Side assist? If not then you only get the front view because to see traffic behind and on each side only the side assist radars can give the information to the Travel assist View…

First of all you should turn on Travel Assist with the button on steering wheel, it should show vehicles in front of you, if you don't have side assist then you would not see car behind

Adjacent lanes display is controlled by predictive Route data (and likely the dataset of the camera). So when the navigation is not broadcasting the info that you are driving on a multi lane "highway" road, you will not see other lanes even with travel assist active. There are countries which miss this information at all, so there you will never see this until the map gets more detail.
There is no coding besides the assistance view to be done

Pretty sure this is wrong.
I don't have navigation activated (I have the 10" screen but without navigation) and when I activate Travel Assist I am shown all lanes with adjacent cars and trucks etc.

I really don't know why I can't get the other lanes shown, I have Style edition, discovery pro, Travel assist activated, front assist, side assist. Did you activate Travel Assist in Adaptive Cruise Control -> Long Coding -> Travel Assist? Otherwise maybe there is something that needs coding in the Driver Assistance (A5) unit.

Otherwise, you could not activate navigation with the swipe of you credit card at once. To proof my point: Do the adjacent lane show up in your car in all multi-lane roads or just designated highways? In case it is only showing up on highways, something - like PSD from the navigation - must tell the travel assist that the multi-lane-view is good to go! Sure, travel assist ist active in the ACC. There is plenty of stuff in the camera's dataset we cannot change But lets fetch some more information: Which country are you from? What radio/navigation do you have?

Ready2Discover, that's the name My Travel Assist (with Ready2Discover) shows everything: Highway = Multiple lanes + other traffic. Landstraße = Detects lane type (dotted line or fahrstreifenbegrenzung) Detects the type of shoulder to the right (ie. Curb, grass) + Car in front. Normal city road = Detects lane type (dotted line or fahrstreifenbegrenzung) Detects the type of shoulder to the right (ie. Curb, grass) + Car in front. I should mention I also have the IQ lights = The big camera. My point is, that I believe the big camera is needed to display the advanced travel assist functions.

To prevent me to overtake from the right sometimes a second lane with a vehicle on the left is shown on the dashboard (Highway). As soons the overtake situation is over it returns back to a single lane with only 1 car in front for the ACC on a multiple-lane highway.
So the camera can detect a second lane and vehicle, it also detects all the road signs.
I can also see the lane type, dotted, curb + car in front etc.
I don’t have IQ-light, doesn’t know if only cars with IQ-light have the bigger camera.
Do you know where I can figure out if my Tavel Assist is also equipped with Ready2Discover?

Netherlands, Do you know where I can figure out if my Tavel Assist is also equipped with Ready2Discover? Ready2Discover is the 10" infotainment unit prepared for navigation but not activated. Does your car have built in navigation?

When i use Travel assist on the UK on the dual carageways ( 70mpg ) 2 lane roads, it only displays the 1 road, when I got onto the motorways, 3 lane roads, it will update and show all 3 lanes
whish it would show the 2/3 lane all the time, rather then just 1 lane

Does anybody know how to change the dashboard view like in these pictures. My travel assist is activated. Hi, I was researching the same issue. I saw the thread you opened. Did you manage to see the traffic information around?

on my MK8 I have the 10" display but initially it was with NO navigation (and no road sign detection). Traveled a lot on highways but never showed me 2-3 lanes. Only one lane and the car in front of me. After purchasing the Navigation from shop for a stunning ~660 euros I still not have the TSR (road sign) but now on all highways it's showing me 3 lanes and traffic in front on all lanes. As I don't have Rear Traffic nor Lane Change Assist I cannot see anything from behind.
Later edit: 3 lanes only if I'm in the middle lane - and the highway has 3 or more. If i'm next to the shoulder only 2 lanes and also if I'm in the left lane. On "highways" that have only 2 lanes only 2 are visible.
