Hi guys,
I need your help. I have a Mk7 gti that had halogen lights and i installed mk7.5 dlr lights with xen.
When i open the car the xenon low beam turns on. And not the Dlr.
How can i change that to the dlr ?

alimk7 : Alas there is not a single answer to your question because every different 3rd party manufacturer of after market headlights has a different way of managing their lamps. Remember, these are NOT OEM fittings - despite what the advertising material might say! On a mk7 with halogen headlights, the DRLs are controlled by Leuchte4TFL LB4 and Leuchte5 TFL RB32 - but I suspect that you had to install a cross wiring harness to deal with the greater number of pins on the new fittings. This means that the factory allocation of Leuchte-sets is changed - so I'm not sure how the DRLs are controlled after the new installation.

Hello,
So I got Chinese mk7.5 headlight for mk7 and it works fine, the headlight drl wasn't working with low beam and I fixed that problem by following your code. Leuchte4TFL LB4 and Leuchte5 TFL RB32 changed the not active to Abblendlicht links/reacts. Which made drl works with low beam. So the problem I have right now is on auto I want drl to works by itself during the day which should have been working but it seems to not work. So when I have the headlight on auto the low beam and drl stays on even during the day which wasn't happening before I made these changes.
So what I want is on Auto during the day the drl to stays on and and in dark drl and low beam to turn on.

Thanks for helping, it seems like my car was just dirty and the weather in the uk is not great so seems like there is no issue, thanks for the code you provided It really helped!
I was wondering if coming home light I can only turn on the drl? Currently on coming home the low beam and drl comes on.

For no CH/LH on Low-beam, try this: - Leuchte6ABL LC5 and Leuchte7ABL RB1
- Lichtfunktion G > Coming Home oder Leaving Home aktiv (default =nicht aktiv)

For no CH/LH on Low-beam, try this:

I do have the golf mk7 GT 2014, I had the standards halogen headlight but i upgraded then for golf mk7.5 headlight with led drl.
Also Whats the access code should write to apply these setting? I have been using 31347

nun87 : hmm....... yes, the car believes that it still has incandescent DRLs fitted. If the DRLs work OK - then not a problem. Alas it's not possible to change the lamp behavior as you want. As for the low-beam CH/LH function - in addition to my suggestion, is: Lichtfunktion H > Nicht aktiv Dimmwert GH > 0 Dimming Direction GH 2 > Maximize Yes 31347 is the correct security code for your central electrics module

Thanks for the help, I have aftermarket taillights as well but there signal indicator are extremely bright is there any way I can lower there brightness? I installed mk7.5 taillights sweeping inductor.

nun87 : Assuming that you are NOT from USA (meaning that the car was factory fitted with separate turn-signal lamps), the illumination level is set by Dimmwert AB on Leuchte18BLK HLA60 and Leuchte19BLK HRC31. The default value = 100 if the factory build was incandescent lamps. "Aftermarket taillights" are non-OEM by definition and some don't like the LEDs being dimmed - but try lowering this number.

nun87 : The illumination for DRL function is controlled by Dimmwert AB on 4Leuchte4TFL LB4 and Leuchte5 TFL RB32
So - same process as in my previous response above - except that in your case, if you dim the lamp for the DRL function, the same lamp will also dim (to the same level) when the low-beams are switched-on
