Do you turn on the engine during scan or keep it off?
I'm asking this because I get errors (with engine on) that don't appear during my scan with engine off.
Car in question is Audi, if that makes any difference.

50 people viewed this topic but no one bothers to give their opinion? What is wrong with this forum?! Why is it so unsupportive and inactive! Like what are most of you people do here if you don't participate? Just read threads?

Like what are most of you people do here if you don't participate? Just read threads? Antagonizing posts like that won’t work in your favour. I get no errors regardless of the engine running or not. If you want help, might be useful to specify the errors your getting instead of a generic “errors” description, and specify what specific car you have. Audi does make more than one model and has many generations of each model as well. Good luck with whatever your situation is. Cheers… DoC

As a rule of thumb you should scan with the engine off but ignition on or you might get phantom errors (e.g. gearbox, crankshaft, etc)
