Hello,
I noticed today that in the module list of my car the parking brake module 53 isn't getting displayed. I have a Golf Mk7 with electronic parking brake. I see the module in the list when i open the list of modules when the car isn't connected to obdeleven. But on connecting there is no module 53. Am i missing something? Is the module 53 really a submodule of the brake module in this case ? Or is there some problem? Any help is appreciated and many thanks in advance.

Ashman663: No you are not missing anything - and Yes the Parking brake motors are directly connected to the hex03 module on most (ALL?) mk7s.

Thank you very much Don. I really appreciate your help. Like you mentioned, I did notice the parking motor details were listed under the hex 03 brake module. I have a standard European MK 7 Golf, not a GTx or R.
I just became curious when I saw several discussions on other forums about changing the rear brakes and their related issues on Golf GTx’s and R where there is a lot of talk about module 53. Maybe a Golf R or GTx models have a separate hex 53? Just curious to know.
