Hello All,
I've been trying to find a setting in adaptations, as there are no apps yet, plus looking for anything that carried over from 7/7.5 changes and settings.
I want to add popping springs to the struts, but pointless without the hatch actually opening with the key.
Cheers for any support, as appreciate its early days with the 8 and the new changes/security on the modules.
James

Update, having checked some of the other posts, I tried to alter the installation setting for the hatch with the hood up, which now asks for a code, I tried 20103 and a couple of other, bit no joy.

What control unit did you make the changes on.

I make changes in central electrics, which is usually where it would be and searched under heckdeckelsteuerung, which is tailgate control.

Currently OBD11 Does not support updates on SFD Protected control units (09 Central Electronics is SFD Protected on MQB Evo platform cars).
Further to do any coding now you will need to have your bonnet open.

Thanks for the feedback, I assumed this would be the case with protected modules.
I was curious on whether the boot mechanism was installed "mechanically", then hopefully we will get access to update for the boot pop in the future?

Has there been any update to this topic? It would be nice to enable the hatch button on the keyfob.

I just did some tested based off of some instructions I saw for MK7. I was able to enable this feature this way:
Central Electrics -> SFD Unlock -> Adaptations -> ZV Heck -> Direkterauswurf Heckdeckel (Active)
This will enable hatch release on key fob when the car is off.

I have a power hatch kit and that adaptation is the only one I used. I can open and close the hatch with three presses of the trunk button. I'm assuming a pop kit also works, what additional functionality are you looking for?

Am in UK and wanted simliar on my mk8. theres a comapny in Redditch (UK) that fits and supplies the struts. also mentions "Your car may need coding after fitting this kit (Golf MK8 Hatchback Boot Pop Up Kit). Press and hold Boot Button on your remote for 2-3sec. If it release your boot than you good, if not than you will have to code that function in. Coding can be done with OBDeleven or ODIS Online", or they can code for extra money.

So when I follow the above instructions, when I get to “ZV Heck” I have no options. I have pro, do I need to buy credits to have more options?.

I am still trying to figure out OBDeleven myself, so I may be answering incorrectly. It could be possible that your car does not have this set of bits. I coded this on an R. If you do not see the correct bits when you go into that group, unfortunately I do not have an answer. Maybe someone else will chime in.
