My 04 Touareg V8 has the keyless entry handles. I have honestly never really used them, just used key fob the whole time. It seems one of my handles is shorting out, making the car lock/unlock on its own and spazzing out. More importantly, it is draining the battery badly. If I leave the car unlocked in the garage, battery lasts fine. If I lock it, via fob or key in the handle, the battery drains in a day or two, and it acts all weird. I was able to narrow down the error to the passenger rear.
So can they just be disabled in OBDEleven? And can I still use the fob to lock/unlock? If so, what is the process? I can't find anything about this online. And to make matters worse, the car is already sold and getting picked up this weekend!
I checked all the main sections, and didn't see it. I am guessing it's in long coding or something, if it can be done at all.. I am 100% fine just using the fob to lock/unlock.
