Hi,
The title basically says it all. Was wondering why i can't see the camshaft adaptation intake bank 1 info on the live data, according to numerous forums and youtube vids i should be able to go into my engine control unit and find a checkable box in the live data, however there is nothing to find. The reason i need that camshaft adaptation info is to see if my chain is starting to stretch.
I'm using the old obdeleven adapter the small white one with a pro license so perhaps if someone know a fix or any other solution within the obdeleven app i'd love to hear it.
And another question : is there still a way to enter specific digits to enter channels within the ecu, the one i need is in channel block 93 but i can't seem to find a way to enter it, it's only checkable boxes now.
Thanks in regard.

delicb85s4 very sorry but this is not my motor. I have a 2016 A4 in my garage and in control unit 01 under live data i have two items with Camshaft. 1/ Camshaft speed (RPM) 2/ Camshaft adaptation intake bank 1, Phase position I presume this is the one you wanted. If you cant find it have you tried changing your ODX File as this can bring up data that was not there before. with regards to the channel numbers, if you car engine is using Protocol CAN: UDS (check under the control unit INFO Screen at the bottom then you no longer have channels as these are used on older type control units. Hope that helps

I'm indeed using the CAN : USD protocol so very unfortunate for the channels. Also using the latest ODX file since there is only one to choose from, unless there is another way to obtain multiple files ( perhaps older ones since most videos & forums were from years ago )
I am experiencing a 1 sec cold start rattle so the chances of having a stretched chain is big already, however it would've been nice to be able to check the stretching via the app.. oh well.
Thanks for the help and the quick reply!

As I say not my car so first question is does the Camshaft adaptation intake bank 1 not give you what you need.
On the car I have it shows 0.00 degrees when offline.
or are you saying that on your car it does not show this value at all.
I have checked on a 2017 which is the same as the 2016 but a 2009 has Phase position, activation, actual value and specified value
Sorry if I am telling you what you already know but you can read your live data offline if at some stage you have done a backup so you dont need to attache to the car. What year is your motor
I also checked out the DAP Video but as we already said this is for an older model but it shows Engine speed (thats in live data), Engine Load (could not see that) and Camshaft adaptation intake bank 1 which I do have on my car.

It's a 3.0l tfsi from the b8.5 from 2013. And yes i know it can be done offline, however the problem is that i dont have the camshaft info at all as in there is no box to check in order to see the live data of it..
I am able to see the engine load and speed tho, although that's not what i need i guess.
Cheers.

I just double checked and all my cars are the 2.0 version which is the same as the Video i saw which is a different engine.
So far I have only seen stuff on how to change the chain rather diagnostic.
The only other suggestion I have is dropping support a line via the in app help function and see if they can help (but its not the sort of thing they normally can help with)
If i find anything else I will update here, sorry I cant be of more help.

I have both a B8 3.0 and a B8 2.0 and I can't find that block 93 on my new OBDelevel pro pull down menu either.
