I recently used my OBDeleven to activate the coding for the full brake lights on my UK spec GTi with rear Led lamps.
as below;
The coding for the Full Brake Lights (inner brake lights active and increased brightness) is:
Module 09 (Central Electrics)
Security Access 16
Code = 31347
Adaptation 10
Channel (8)-Leuchte27 NSL RC6
Lichtfunktion C27
Set to brake light = Bremslicht (default is not active)
Channel (10)-Leuchte27 NSL RC6
Dimming CD27
Set to 100 (default is 0)
This was accepted and appeared to work...... However.
Once I used the car in the dark, I noticed when I unlocked the car, or locked it the inner part of the red lamps on the tailgate were illuminated, this is without the key near the car or in the ignition.
When I lock the car to walk away, the white puddle lamps in the wing mirror turn off after about 30 seconds( as usual), but the two inner rear lamps now stay on for 5 minutes before going out.
This morning I reversed the coding above to turn the inner brake lights off and revert to my previous setting. Straightforward enough, not active and then dimming set to 0.
Unfortunately I still have the inner red lamps on the tailgate on when I unlock and lock the car.
Please, does anyone know the section of coding that related to these inner red lamps that are positioned on the rear hatch/tailgate of the car?
Thanks.
Update; I have now reinstated the full brake light and that works as before. I still have the inner tail lamp staying on issue.
I have to assume there is another setting that has become "involved" that may not be associated with the full brake light adaptation?
Is this a separate setting that needs to be adjusted/confirmed?
Cheers.
