Hello! I have a Passat GTE -18 with led high light. It also has the cornering lights and lights that follow the steering (don't know what thats called), and full beam assist. I recently lowered the car 35mm with eibach springs, and yesterday I drove the car in the dark and saw that the lights are very low.
I started to google for answers and found that you can do a "basic setting" on module4b to let the car calibrate the sensor position. So I went out and tried that. When i pressed the green tick my lights went from a rather straight line (as it's supposed to be) to kind of large squares and threw a lot of errors on the dashboard. I got a little freaked and shut down the app and shut of the car and locked it for a while. When I started the car again everything was back to normal. I haven't read about this behaviour anywhere, only thing I have seen is that the lights should move a little and settle then?
Would be really nice if I could make this calibration myself instead of having to make an appointment at the shop. Thankful for answers!

Hi Garko, and thank you for your answer!
I just went out to the car and checked the gateway list. In the (19)gateway list the D6 and D7 are NOT checked. But when i look in the 4B multifunction module (still in gateway list coding) they ARE checked. Am i supposed to check them in (19)gateway list too? I looked for the colors you are talking about in the other thread, and they are all green on my control unit list. And also, the d6 and d7 does show as control units. To be clear about my car. I have not made any coding to the car except making the U in the headlight on when DRL is in use (GTE only has the L shape on with DRL). It is factory spec with led high - DLA. What i have done is lowering the car, and now it thinks that the rear is fully loaded and turns the light low (the sensor on the rear axle needs a new "zero" point). Thank you for your help! // Kemppi

Hi Kemppi,
For that park your car in front of your garage, or a wall. With OBDeleven after scan, go to each LED Module, then go to Output Test, you Have GLW_Movement_test , or LWR_movement test, depending what you have. You will calibrate manual the position of your Leveler after you depress the green icon, what after start turns to red. Do not be afraid, nothing will be broken, you will press stop until you get the desired point of calibration.
And With LWR_poistion_test you can choose the zero new position. Good luck.

I looked in the output test of my leds (d6-d7) but i do not have that option. You can see in my attached pic what I have there.
Here is what i have in module4B
This is what it looks like in the multifunction module
Note: I have not checked the D6 and D7 in my gateway coding list(19). They are only checked in Gateway coding list/multifunction module
I also did a full backup as you can see in the history1.txt if you want to. I don't know why, but some of the text are in swedish even though i changed the language to english.
And thank you for trying to help!

I finally got it working with the basic headlamp setting!
The first time I tried the basic headlamp setting in module4b the full beam went on so I freaked out a little because no one had written anything about that. I also got the AFS error but I knew that it could happend. So i shut the car down and locked it. After a little while I started the car again and everything was back to normal.
A few days later I tried again and this time I also tried to Acknowledge the basic settings, but got an red error in obdeleven. Didn't see what the fault said because it went away pretty quick. So after that I didn't think this procedure would work for me.
But today I tried again. Went in to basic headlamp setting in module4b. Started the procedure and the full beam went on. Turned off everything as before. And then when I turned on the ignition again I saw that the headlamps had moved up a little bit, so something had happened!
When i started obdeleven the light went down again (because I had not saved the settings). So went in to basic headlamp setting again, fullbeam on as before. And this time, I don't know why, the acknowledge basic headlamp setting worked? Don't know why it didn't work the last time i tried.
I'm writing this down here so if anyone searches for this problem again, this might answer them.
