Hello all, I found this wonderful forum from a google search after purchasing my OBD11 and making new changes to my MK7 GTI. So I just recently completed the NAR restriction removal, I have not had a chance to see how the lights perform yet as it's still light out. One thing I've come to notice is that, my halogen cornering lights do not come on any longer. I've followed the instructions accurately and went back to ensure everything was coded correctly. The following I have changed. Under headlight regulation - Long coding - changed market from nar to ece
- enabled city light, highway light, rain light and all weather light
- Static AFS light from SAE J582 to ECE R119
Then completed the Basic setting and Acknowledge Basic Setting afterwards.
Before the cornering lights would come on when the car would be in reverse, they do not activate nor when I turn the wheel or put my turn signals on.
Any ideas on what I should check for?

jackphom : Maybe activate all weather lights which is Byte 4, Bit 5 on the hex55 module -perhaps?

Hi Don, Now that it is dark out and I went for a drive. I can confirm the static cornering lights do work now, however after all the coding it didn't come on when it was light out, however the AFS lights no longer function. The all weather light function was enabled but I doubled typed highway light. I confirmed this while positioning the lights at a wall, when I turn the car on, the presentation works and the lights shine up/down and side to side. I went for a drive and regardless of the speed and steering input angle, the AFS still do not move. However, when the high beams on driving up to a building, I can see the light pattern move back to the center but only the left projector moves back. The right projector is already fixated straight. So that's another issue in it's own, the city light appears to only have the left beam be wide but the right beam is straight on. I've tried different speeds up to 80 mph and the AFS do not move. The only thing aside from the Headlight 55 coding, I've changed were in Central Electrics. - Central Electrics - Static AFS Light Vorschrift SAE J582 to ECE R119
- Central Electrics - Obere Geschwindigkeitsschwelle Old Value 40.00 km/h to New Value 50.00 km/h
Any ideas on what I could of goofed up?

jackphom : hmm........ AFAIK on RoW models, the software switch for AFS on the hex55 module is Byte 4, Bit 1 (label=dynamic cornering lights)- not sure if it's the same on Yankee cars (i.e. NAR models) Don

Don,
I went back and reverted back to the NAR lighting setup. Then went ahead and tried this again, except this time I've left off all weather lights not enabled. The lights seem to move and pivot side to side now.
What's the purpose of the all weather lights? I understand it's fog light assist, so you cannot use your led fog lights or else that engages those lights? right?

Also curious for "all weather lights" as mine is disabled. Can you explain what it does?

Anyone else have their city lights enabled but the passenger side headlight does not pivot right? I've noticed in a parking garage where I tested the settings, only my driver side is moving wide then back to normal when coming to a stop.
