Hello there My car is 2021 model When I want to turn off the brake disk drying function, it asks for the security access code. The 20103 and 40168 codes displayed by the system are not accepted. What is the code required to change the settings of this feature? Thanks

Yes on all new VAG Vehicles you now have the AUDI Bonnet / hood open protection so no coding allowed until its open but you can run scans.

Have you tried with security code 40304 ? It worked to disable Brake Disc Wiper/Dryer on a Golf mk 7.5 TDI 2.0 4Motion, March 2018.

Hello, please has someone already found sec. access to unit 03 for brake drying?
20103, 40168 code takes, but does not work for drying. 40304 does not work.
Thank you very much

Dont forget to check that you have not locked out your control unit.
Live Data Secuirty Access number of invalid keys should be set to 0, if its 3 or above then you need to leave ignition on for approx 5 minutes until the number returns to 0 otherwise it wont work.

Thank you guys so much!!! I will try the codes.
I have another question: If I enter a wrong code and then immediately enter a good one (eg 20103) then I can keep trying, right? At least that's how it works for me...

You can enter two bad codes and then on the third one select a good one and no issues,
Just check the live data element i shared and if its locked out you will a get a warning message when entering new codes saying something like its locked out. But if you leave the ignition on then after a short period of time its all open again.
Again if you just look at the live data element after entering a code if its wrong for the control unit then it will go to 1 instead of zero.
hope that makes sense

Yes that sure makes sense and thanks for confirming my point. I always try to enter the code twice and if the unit does not accept them, I enter 20103 and I have 2 new attempts again...👍

No other codes work 😒😒😒
Brake drying cannot be changed 😒 Oh no.

On my 2014 car the security access code for this function is one of the following 40168/20103/40304
What error message do you get when you try and make the change using any of these codes.
I know none of us like them but have you tried using the one click app.

40304 unit does not take.
After entering 20103 or 40168 (the only codes the unit accepts) and changing the drying of the discs to a level other than medium (default), it says "security access required" and the change fails.

Have you tried entering Engineering mode, then enter security code and then coding? This helped for me to set the correction angles for ACC. Just a thought.

Ooo good idea sir! I can try that. But I don't know how to get into engineering mode and with what code? Or is it without code? Here I have this selection in unit 03:
ENG118148-Developer_Function_1.00 00 ENG122614-Developer_Function_102, activated ENG122615-Developer_Function_103, activated ENG122619-Developer_Function_109, not activated ENG125053-Developer_Function_120,Implicit ENG118200-Developer_Function_3, not activated ENG118201-Developer_Function_4.05

Maybe this is what you meant. It is still possible to enter the security code S12345 developer mode. It just flashes the screen but doesn't say it's a bad security code. Even after that, however, it is not possible to change the brake drying value.
Should I try to enter S12345 and then enter some code that the unit didn't pick up before? Like 44595? (direct brake drying code)

So sorry, I am confusing S12345 with unit 5F. Unit 03 does not have such an option.
You have already remembered how to activate developer mode. You have to enter the appropriate security code (S12345) and then enable developer mode in adaptations...
Unfortunately, I cannot activate the developer mod in 03, it requires a security code and 20103 and 40168 do not work for this. The unit does not accept other codes (and I tried all available on the website and here on the forum). Only these two 20103 + 40168.
Thanks for the ideas 😉

Start obd11, chose unit 03. scroll down to: Change Service Then select: development mode. Go back Enter the codes which were working in Security access. When it’s done you can try to code disc brake drying.
That’s what i meant.

Thank you very much. Unfortunately, only 20103 and 40168 SA are functional on 2Q0-614-517. It does not accept other SA even in developer mode. Apparently it's a "new" unit on which SA is a secret.

I have the same unit and it works with the two codes you said. My Software Number ends with „AM“. Maybe yours is different. You can try with VCDS, it mostly suggest more codes, if you have anyone nearby.
