I used to own a firstgen OBDEleven device which worked nicely with my car (2018 VW Up). The dongle died and I purchased the Nextgen one.
I tried to connect it to my car but it wouldn't connect. It either would spin "Connecting.." for a long time, only to give up with no error message. It just blinks briefly, then shows the Connect button again.
Not blink as in an app crash, but that "blink" OBDEleven does right before connecting or throwing a connection error.
After a few tries, I managed to connect and see the correct car model, voltage etc. However, no modules would work, and OBDeleven said they weren't responding -- Modules that worked fine before on FirstGen.
Is that a known issue?
