I've read on other forums that ROW MK7.5 cars have the factory enabled message: 'please switch on dipped headlights or please turn on your lights' when it's dark enough outside and also when the light switch set to 0 position.
I checked in my NAR car, OBD11 in 09 under adaptation --> Aussenlicht uebergreifend --> Fahrlichtwarnung Hinweis Kongif:
-Kein Hinweis (is currently checked)
-Hinweis in LDS-Stellung Null -Hinweis in LDS-Stellung SL -Hinweis in LDS-Stellung Null und SL
Does anyone know what the bolded mean? I tried google translate and I couldn't make sense of it.
If I want to enable the above message which one would I enable?

I turned OFF Hinweis in LDS-Stellung Null und SL as I didn't want the bloody stupid distraction. So try turning that one ON.

The bolded bits are telling you that the warning message function can be enabled when the LDS= LichtDrehSchalter=Rotary-Light-Switch is in the ZERO position, or in the Parking-light/Side-light position , or both. You can choose any of the 3 x options
