Hi,
my Skoda Scala is equipped with sensor, but I am not sure if it is "normal" rain sensor, that can be activated for enabling automatic wipers. Can anybody advise on this?

I don't think it is a rain sensor. If I check my subsystem, I have G397_RLFSS. RL stands for Rain and Light.

Thanks for reply. Do you know what does this sensor do? What's its purpose?

harware number 81A907658 is a Humidity Sensor - don't know if it supports rain light as well but on the Seat Leon there are two types humidity only and humidity/rain light
see below from car brochure
CLIMATE CONTROL AIR CONDITIONING Whether keeping you cool in the summer or cosy in the winter, this electronic system provides year round comfort. It’s also fitted with a humidity sensor to reduce windscreen misting.

Thank you for reply. That is exactly what I would like to clarify - if this sensor is capable of rain detection as well.

I don't know as not my car but I would agree with above post that as you don't have the RL in the name its just a humidity sensor,
