Hi OBDEleven users, (I searched the forum and didn't find this; apologies in advance if it's here somewhere and I missed it). Does OBDEleven have the ability to review the installed software/firmware versions in a car and report when newer versions are known to be available? I have a 2020 model year (last of the 2017-2019) Skoda Octavia MkIII (Scout) (manufactured in April 2020), withOUT Skoda's connected services, so the car has no way to be in touch with Skoda to receive notices of available software/firmware updates (except unless I take it to a dealer and the dealer actually checks and bothers to tell me). Overall I'm pleased with the car but it's definitely a computer on wheels with some software inadequacies, for which I hope that updates might be available (traffic signal recognition is often confused; the big red screeching you-are-about-to-hit-something warning comes up from time to time always erroneously, Smartlink/Android Auto startup on the head unit is an absolute pig, voice message readouts from e.g. WhatsApp through Android Auto to the head unit are significantly delayed and trying to dictate a voice response rarely works and the longer the device has been connected and the more messages it has read out - meaning, after about four... - it's a complete disaster to the point that I have to disconnect the phone and reconnect it, and some other stuff). So, any love from OBDEleven integrating with a database of known software/firmware updates for a particular car model? thanks! -Jay Spain

libove there is a software check service on Android only voltas-it.helpshift.com/hc/en/3-obdeleven-android/faq/317-the-software-version-of-the-control-unit/ but it only checks against other OBD11 Vehicles not some central database. Cant recall the exact perameters it uses but i have certainly seen people saying that they have gone to dealer who says there is no updates. Afraid I see a lot of people complaining about your issues so i dont think there are fixes (happy to be proved wrong) but be gratefull you dont have the MK4 as the new VAG Range has many many more bugs.
