So I’m an idiot and hit the reset button for the lane assist.

Now it won’t work at all. ACC and everything else are fine. But lane assist is broken.

Is there any way to undo the reset from OBD eleven?

Any way to add the code back?

I have an old backup in obd eleven if that would help.

I’m sick to my stomach lane assist will never work again.

Will I need to buy a new camera system or new driver assist module?

Edit:

I was looking at the lane assist settings because I hit a rock with my windshield while driving. After the rock hit lane assist deactivated.

Good that you have created a back-up before the reset because it will be a valuable resource.

If this was my car, I would first create a scan report. Look at the faults related to Lane assist module(s)(there maybe two of these) because it could guide you (hopefully) as to what has changed.

For example, if there is a fault "incorrectly coded", it means that the Long-code needs to be addressed. To do this - refer to the long-code values in your back-up and compare with the current values. If the fault is "calibration- basic settings", you might need to see a dealer because specialized equipment may be needed.

I initially was looking into lane assist because it was “not available”.

I was driving and it chimed and flashed “not available”. I was digging around and it looked like the camera needed to be re-calibrated. Some values were out of normal parameters (C1106F0).

If I can just get back to the calibration point that be great!

OK- so I'm not sure about your scan information - your first post was made on 26/06/21. The date of the error message on the ACC module on your scan is 25/08/21. It's now 6 April 2022 (here in Australia).

The Trouble Code data says "Malfunction frequency counter: 1". This means that after first registration of the error (back in August 2021), the fault has not reappeared in a subsequent ignition cycle in the intervening period to today. I assume that the car is in regular use - so there have been many ignition cycles

Of course, this conclusion is only correct if this is a recent scan - but since you have removed the date information, I'm not sure when the scan was done.

I suggest that you try to clear the fault code and see if it returns. In any event, I'm not sure that it will help in this instance because it's a general type error message.

So - when you say in your first post "I hit the reset button for the lane assist" - what precisely does this mean? I wasn't aware that the lane assist function on a Golf mk7/7.5 has a "reset button"?

I really find OBD11 scan reports to be grossly inefficient compared to their competitor's (VCDS) equivalent reports- because they don't show the long-code values for each module.

Maybe look at your back-up information and compare the long-code vaue on the ACC module with the existing value - are they the same?

Also, look in the records in History around the time of the "reset" incident - what does OBD11 say that happened to the ACC module?
