Hi I installed upgraded led Headlights on my car about 3 years ago (I have a 2013 mk7 golf bluemotion) but recently one of the DRLs on the passenger side have gone out so now only the drivers side is working even though (I have sequential indicators) my indicators work? Is this a fault and is there a fix or do I have to now buy a whole new unit? Would appreciate any help!

Iv had my obdeleven stolen so unable to check that way but a mechanic friend has a computer but when he plugged it in it says nothing he even said usually he can test lights (on/off etc) but it’s giving him no options so I think I’m gnna have to buy another obdeleven I’m just really hoping the leds haven’t gone otherwise it’s going to be a very expensive fix☹️

ncodes . hmm..........it's difficult to say, given the information available and third-party retrofit headlights vary so much in their behavior and in their build quality.
Generally speaking, DRLs are "monitored" lamps and the central electrics module sends a fault message whenever it can't sense that the lamp is drawing electrical current when switched-on. So you should see an error message on the dash if the LED is blown - assuming of course that the monitoring function wasn't disabled when the retrofit happened and assuming that the after market headlights are OEM.
Not much that can be done without a diagnostic tool - other than get a service provider to repair it!
