Hi all,
I've tried to change the Comfort Turn Signals from the default, 3, to 5. First by coding. This didn't work. Then used 10 of my OBD11 credits to default it back to 3. Then used another 10 credits to put it back to 5 again... Still no joy. Waste of credits and no extra blinking... Does anyone have suggestions?

After change turn signals you have to reset radio (mib) turn radio on, hold on off button for more then 10 seconds radio turn off and on again. Then changes would be accepted

Hi Daniel, Thank you for your reply. It didn't work today (days after. I put it to 5x) but I was driving at the time. I'll retry it again tomorrow with just contact on, by defaulting back to 3, resetting the mib, then to 5 again.

And after you set to 5 again reset mib again +1. Under lighting settings in the infotainment system.

Faceman, that did the trick. Reset the lighting system. Thank you all!

In my app (android) it clearly says in a text below that module where you change the number of signals you want that you have to go to light setup and do a factory reset of light. Before Isaw that my tweak did not work as well but after I did a factory reset of the module light and then it worked like a charm

Hi, I got this problem to. I started the mib, was in radio tho, held power for 10sec until it restarded, went in to the comfort lightning and changed from 3 to 5. Restarded the mib again, still didn't work. What am I doing wrong?

The reset procedure is for the car's lighting modules (which is the module @ address hex09, not the module @ address hex5F). You need to do the following: Press the Car button on the RHS of the discover/composition media head. Press Set-up on the bottom RHS of the screen In the Vehicle Setting screen, press the Factory Settings panel (it's at the very end of the list at the bottom of the screen) In the Factory Settings screen, under Reset individual settings/data, press Vehicle Press Reset tab in the window that says Reset " Vehicle" settings-are you sure?"

Thanks Don! Going to try that.
Resetting to factory setting, will the adaptions I did yesterday also reset?

Thanks Don! Going to try that. Resetting to factory setting, will the adaptions I did yesterday also reset? No it won't reset adaptation channels, or code-string changes, but it might reset MENU settings that you previously changed. To minimise this probabiity, you might try factory reset to only the lights (i.e. instead of Vehicle). I have recommended this in the past in other forums and it has worked for the comfort turn-signal tweak, but on some versions of the mk7, it has been necessary to factory reset the vehicle. But try lights first and if this doesn't work, try vehicle

Hi Don and thanks for the help!
Resetting the light tab made the 5 interval start working.

My 2017 GTI says this is not supported, which doesn't make sense. Somebody mentioned they may have recoded some things on the 2017. Is there going to be an update to the 2017 apps so some of these things are supported again? Or would I just have to do long coding?

I can't change this in my clubsport either. It will only accept values from 1-3. You can set it to 5, but the function will stay at 3.

Is there going to be an update to the 2017 apps so some of these things are supported again? Or would I just have to do long coding? Mike: Do the tweak manually. It ain't difficult-this is one of the easier ones! - Select Central electrics module @ address hex09
- Select security access
- Enter the magic number 31347
- Select adaptation
- Search for Außenlicht (for older modules, search for Turn signal control)
- Select Komfortblinken Blinkzyklen
- Change blink number (1-5)
- Confirm change and exit software
In-car procedure - Press the Car button on the RHS of the discover/composition media head.

After doing the In-Car Procedure listed above, the change has taken effect on my clubsport Only difference was under Reset individual settings/data, I didn't have vehicle but I did have Lights, which was where the comfort indicators fell under, so I figured that was the right one to reset, and it was

Hello !
Merci.

Hello board, this is my first post! I just received my Obdeleven.
Don, thank you for this... I also had the « not supported » message but it was a breeze to set up with your detailed instructions! I just need to set it up on my wife’s Tiguan now!

In the adaptation field it says "0-3". So I put in 5 anyways...and it accepted it. Reset the lights in the RHS...but still blinks only 3 times.

The app says not supported for my 17 Alltrack. Nor is the window open/close or urban joke app. Do I have to long code these?

Got the UJ v2 to work via app. Had to use the "fix" app first then the UJ app. Works great now. If anyone has trouble with a NA bulb golf try that. Bonus, when locking/unlocking the lights alternate which looks sweet AF.
