I have recently purchased an obdeleven hoping to see the fault codes. Have connected to the device and it has recognised my car and got the correct vin number. However every control unit I click on says 'control unit not responding check ignition' I have tried with and without ignition, with and without engine running. How do I fix this?

total guess - is the dongle correctly seated in the OBD port on the car? Does the bezel on the dongle change color from red? Examine the pins on both the dongle and the car port - any bent, or not connecting properly? Try using the dongle on another car - do you have the same problem?

Hi, yesterday my white dongle failed to connect to vw golf, tried octavia mk3 also failed. this is strage cause I had coded new battery 2nd of Aug with no problems. tried several times, reinstalling app, paring unparing bt devices and nothing. "please check ingnition" message. the car that is in garage can be accesed and scanned, but discovering a device seems to be a problem. any ideas why?

Are you using a beta version or latest release 0.45. If 0.45 check out the bug thread obdeleven.proboards.com/thread/13239/45?page=1&scrollTo=58345 and you will see many of us are having issues connecting. IOS Based on one user feedback seems to be fixed now but i tried Android again this morning and still not working as it did.
Update if very convoluted you can connect and then the coding is allowed on my car anyway but the connection process is broken.
