I was excited when the app came out, but as soon as I tried to change to “via horn short” it completely took away the sound to the Lock/Unlock chime. Has anybody ran into this and does anyone know how I can get sound back? I even tried reverting back to the old settings but still no sound.

OK- that's a good start!!
Do this:
Go to the central electrics module - select adaptations - enter "Acknowledge" into the search box - select Acknowledgement signals - take a screenshot of the related channels and their settings- post a copy here

hmm.......... do you both have a an anti theft siren fitted in addition to the car horn and have you checked in the car's MENU that the lock/unlock sound is active?

rot1point8mk7 : hmm............yes, that's why I NEVER use Apps and why I suggest that others do the same. It's OK if the App works, but when it doesn't work properly (as seems to be the case for you)- it's anyone's guess where in the car's massive coding database changes were made!! Anyhow, since you have an anti-theft siren fitted to the car, try this: In the adaptation channels on your screenshot - select Akustische Rueckmeldung Signalhorn - change setting to not active (if you are asked for a security code, use 31347) Don

I wont be able to try this until later... but this means me and dude are just screwed on this one in other words?

toastedsushi : hmmm........."screwed"? Using that word to describe what happened in your and "dude" case is a tad harsh!!
I'm not sure how you intended the word to apply, but because only the OBD11 deities actually know how the APP works - us mere mortal have no basis for understanding cause and effect. But, when these problems arise, yes - there are very few options for the reasons I've previously stated. But your situation is far better than for a user who doesn't have a PRO account.
All that you and "dude" can say is that after using the App, an observation was made. Until rot1point8mk7 confirms that the other car also has a siren, you can't even say that you both have the same problem. And, until you test my suggested fix, there is no certainty that the problem is the siren! My statement/advice about not using Apps is not specific to the problem described by you both - it's a general suggestion based on the not insignificant number of posts regarding a range of Apps Don

Dont you know in American English, the word screwed isnt always "harsh" it just means what it means and doesn't exactly mean indefinitely. I also am certain that I also said, "does this mean". Which puts me in a position of not knowing, clearly too.as well as stating I wasn't able to try it quite yet. Which that entails ill be getting to it mate lol
Big question since you do respond well. What difficulties would one have without pro?

For those of us that live in the very deep South, the problem with American English is that (mostly?) it's only spoken by Americans. Hence my caution with the word "screwed" and my concern to limit its definition in our cross-cultural, multi-English discussion What difficulties would one have without pro? Well............ if you were an OBD11 user WITHOUT a pro account - you don't have access to either the module's adaptation channels, or to its long-code string. So, you can't provide the screenshots in your picture and even if you read this post, you can't manually change the module coding. To use a colloquial phrase - you are "right-royally-screwed"
I'm not sure what a non PRO user can do in your position - other than contact the support team. And even with this option, I'm not sure how a fix is implemented - maybe a "special" App is written?

So, I changed signal to not active. It diddnt change. Might I add when I click the alarm button no sound but the headlights do flash. Same when locking door. No sound, door locks and lights flash. I also did the app where it flashes the third brake light when fob locking doors.as well as the app for pace car hazards and urban joker v2. Dont know if those could be interfering.

toastedsushi : as I have repeated many times - chasing changes that are made by Apps can be the delicious futility of an impossible task!
It's anyone's guess where the problem could be - maybe check that the alarm siren is still registered in the hex09 module as a LIN device (another guess) like this: - Anti-theft device-DWA_Einfachhorn_oder_Sounder> installed
