Hey there,
I have a Golf 8, build around feb 2020. I'd like to retrofit a rvc. I've done tons of retrofitting on my golf 5 and golf 7 but i'm not so sure about my new one because of the SFD. I do have a discover pro and PDC front & rear. No Parkpilot. How can i check whether i can successfuly code the rvc? Can I try to code it before I buy the parts and see if the coding works? I have the ODB11 pro 1st Version, where would I code the rvc?
Thanks. Jan

Is NOT possible to add a rearview camera due to SFD protection in modules 19 and 5F.

Yes you can code in RVC in MK8. I've done few of them already. Yes, the car is SFD protected so you will have to unlock 19 Gateway and F Infotaimnent first. Than you can code RVC in the car.

Hey, thanks for the reply. Now, since OBDeleven can unlock SFD we are able to code the RVC. I had my RVC unlocked in the past by the Obdapp. For everyone who wants to unlock RVC, do the following: In Device 19 set the long coding PaCo_Video_Parksystem to value "RVC_Compact_Smart" Not sure if nessecery, but in Device infotainment 5F go to Adaption (german: Anpassung) and set
function_configuration_rvc -> parkingsystem_video_input to the ones in the screenshot
and
parkingsystem_video_input to 1392x656
Anyone who can provide additional information, please post.

Hello, I was wondering if you have an electrical camera connection scheme.
