Audi rs3 2016 PFL, pretty sure MIB 1, I changed the sound options thinking it may give me additional controls. Initially it showed 3 options, original, on and off. I changed to on, but it the MIB unit on sound settings showed all functions(bass/treble etc) as off with no sound coming from the speakers. When I went back, there was no longer and original selection, just on or off. Setting it back to on(a couple of times), I still have have no sound, and the sound options are still inactive.
I do not have a backup file, as i bought this unit to clear codes only...
Help please?....

First, what country are your from? I'm not sure if you are aware, but OBD11 records ALL the changes that you made in History option - this facility identifies both the "before" and "after" values of the change. You don't need to connect to the dongle to view this information - it's stored against your account. I suggest that you look through these records and that you revert the MIB related changes back to their factory settings. If you still have problems, paste a copy of the records here and I'll have a look. Here's instructions as to how to digitize the History file: Don
EDIT: I've just read another example of the same problem HERE. If you have also used this App, ignore this reply - the History facility does NOT record changes made by Apps!!

Hi, I am in Australia, the history file shows the original sound selection is "off" , but the new value being "null", but at the time on screen it said "original"(instead of off) and i selected to turn it on, not 'null'. The other image shows me turning it off then back on - still no sound and all sound control parameters are greyed out. I have the factory BOSE system as well if that is relevant. linklink 2I am happy to reset my MIB 1 to factory settings if this would resolve the issue, but i dont know how. I used the systems menu to restore defaults - this did not work.

bloo : Most definitely NEVER use the factory reset option in OBD11 - it will result in lots of misery!!.
