Hello everyone,

I have taken on the challenge of retrofitting a MIB2 into a 2015 Golf that didn't come with CarPlay. It's going pretty well but I am stuck at trying to get the USB active, it doesn't even charge my phone. In the Media screen I have a grey USB option and AppConnect just says to attach a device. Here is how I have it set at the moment

It looks like you coded it allright. On the green USB connector, there's a 2 pins port for powerconnection. Is that one connected? Also, tried another Apple lightning cable. Some cables work, some don't...Original is always ok.

I’ll pop it out and check those pins, would they affect data also?
I did try different brand cables with no luck. I also noticed that if I look at USB connection in live data it intermittently says ‘not OK’ then goes back to ‘OK’

I still don't have app-connect though

The issue was the aftermarket cable that came with the usb module. I trimmed the OEM connector and reused that cable and now it works!
