Is it possible to adjust these lights like some others?
They are so dim that I really have to look hard at them for a second to see if they're lit. Seems to defeat their purpose...
TIA

tim: I suspect that the answer depends on the part number of the Lane Change Assistance module (mine is a 3Q0 series module) But on my MQB platform vehicle, I was able to simply go to the hex 3C module - then to adaptations - then to the channel Brightness characteristic of warning display - the factory setting is Normal, but look at what other allowable values are possible: I've changed the value to Very bright (no security code is needed), but I haven't checked the effect yet. If you have this channel and make changes, please provide feedback. Don
EDIT: Works well - too bright really!!

Unfortunately this didn't work for me. No such setting on my 2019 GTI Rabbit. My 3C module has very few options in adaptations. Any other ideas where the setting could be?
I'm not sure how to find the part number of the Lane Change Assistance module, to the extent that it would help.

the information is contained in your scan report, or you can select info after you select the 3C module (it's the first option under the module banner)

My 3C module is weirdly titled, "Lane Change Assistant Right"
I don't have a "Part Number" label in the info, but I do have "Hardware Number", which is 5Q0907686C. "Software Number" is the same as well.

Tim: yes, your hex3C module should report something like this: - 3C Lane Change Assistant Right
System description: HRE_Master Software number: 5Q0907686B Software version: 0071 Hardware number: 5Q0907686B Hardware version: H12 Serial number: 0413915484 ODX name: EV_HREntryHella ODX version: 001028
This means that it is a "5Q0" series module - it's not like my "3Q0" series unit.
As I said in my original response "it depends on the part number of the Lane Change Assistance module" - clearly the 5Q0 modules don't have the facility to alter the LED brightness
My 3C module is weirdly titled, "Lane Change Assistant Right" Ain't nothing weird about that label- it's factual!
Think about how Lane Change Assist (LCA) works; the facility must monitor the status of the lanes either side of the car. To do this, LCA must have a radar detector on either side of the car (the radars are fitted in the rear quarter panels - pointing backwards and towards the neighboring lanes).
On your 5Q0 series module(s), the 2 x radar units are arranged as master/slave - meaning that the right-side radar is the master and the left side radar is the slave (communication between the radars use what VW calls "LIN" protocols).
OBD11 scans only report the master modules on the car - IMO, this is an illogical deficiency in a diagnostic report and it doesn't happen on VCDS scan reports
So, if you look in Subsystem on the hex3C module, you will find the radar for the left-side

Thanks! So do you think there is no way to do it, or that perhaps they moved the setting somewhere else? If the latter, any ideas where to look or what it might be called?

Tim: with the caveat that anything is possible - my very strong suspicion is that there is NO facility to change LED brightness on your version of the hec6C module(s), alas!
