Hi
I just received my obdeleven pro device and I have some questions that i havent found a answer on so far. At this moment im still waiting on my new Ateca I ordered ~2 weeks ago.
1. Access codes / security codes Sometimes a code is needed when you changing values. As in this example: "Module 03 - Electronic brake. Code (40168/20103)" Are they unique for model, brand or something else? Can I use a code from a Tiguan on my Ateca? If not, how can I get the code for my car? Update: Seams like Loginfinder can find these codes. Not sure how it works though.
2. Adaptations and coding. Its hard to find adaptations and coding specific for Ateca, but can I use/try from other VAG cars like a Leon or Octavia?
=)

Replying on my self now... lol After a few hours of searching I found that the access/security codes can be found in your cars Factory Repair Manual. code linkAlternatively you can use Login finder to find your access/security code for a module, but you need a working access/security code (for that module?) to be able to find another. One can just hope that maybe codes from Leon or Alhambra is the same for Ateca, cos its timeconsuming to find these code apparently. Anyone know if that is possible? That codes works over different models?

I haven't had a problem. I needed it for the mirror dip not for the stop start. The published one was good. I'm working on the basis that the pinned Golf 7 instructions are good.
The adaptation in the ODBeleven are packaged differently between modules like short cuts. I suspect it may vary between models.
Returning back to security codes best not to get them wrong else it locks you out from making changes 15 minutes or so, so I read.
I think I've done all my modifications for the time being since I don't want to alarm my garage that I'm fiddling behind the scenes. It has been useful to check the error codes and I've deleted the ones they have fixed like the disconnected heated mirror and the blind spot, so only left with the log of unknown ones. Most pleased about fixing the SS, driving a DSG you don't want it to keep stopping and a light footed stop you won't achieve in normal driving. SS is just too dangerous.

Thanks for input.
I will try Golf mk7 instructions as well if I cant find specifically for my Ateca. The most important setting for me is ESC off option via the menus, that can be done with long coding apparently. But Im not sure if its possible without a code.
If anyone have a guide or just code for ESC/ESP off for Seat Ateca, I would be very happy. Aka ESC multimode. Same thing with "Starting vibration reduction" as well, since it seams to ruin the car performance as well.
I have other stuff on my wish list as well, but the 2 above is the most important because it improves the safety for me.

I thought I share my experience if anyone have the same questions I had...
I got my Ateca 3 weeks ago now, took almost 5 months of waiting... I also tested out odb11 now and its working as intended.
I have done 3 tweaks so far: - Automatic mirror fold on lock. (app) - ESC multimode, so I can choose "ESC OFF". (long coding) - Starting vibration reduction disabled. (adaptation) All above was easy, and I didnt need a access code.

Thanks for the update bemah. Re access codes in my experience on the Leon there are two things to help you. Firstly when an access code is required so far the app has always shown me the codes that are relevant (sometimes that may be more than one) Secondly most of the codes that people share will show you what access code is required. For example on the 5F ATECA Beep / alarm when locking and unlocking the car With this mod you may have to close, open or in both cases with horn beep occurs. 1 - Module 09 - Electronic. Code (31347)2 - Adaptation 3 - Signs response 4 - Sub - Akustische rueckmeldung entriegeln --- On 5 - Sub - Akustische rueckmeldung verriegeln --- On 6 - Sub - Global rueckmeldung --- On Akustische 7 - Sub - Akustische rueckmeldung Signalhorn --- On 8 - Sub - Menuesteuerung Akustische rueckmeldung --- On (On Screen Display) 9 - Sub - Dauer der vom akustischen rueckmeldung einfachhorn --- Normal (No alarm) or Kurz (with alarm) Thanks to netopir OBD11 Boards The only thing I will stress to everybody is make sure you take a backup of your settings. The history section will show you pre and post but the backup has everything so you can double check and revert any issues. I have started a little section on error codes if in doubt please feel free to ask and check out obdeleven.proboards.com/thread/1783/fix-error-codesLast point I did not put in was that the 2017 cars have a different setup to the old models so if you have a 2017 car you can still make changes but the APP list is small (hopefully dev are working on this) and the old coding will not be correct because the names have changed (see obdeleven.proboards.com/post/6921) but its still all possible. Enjoy

Can any of the following be done with adaptations or coding?
1. Needle staging 2. Top view camera in motion (while driving) 3. emergency breaking (think it's called adaptive break light?) 4. Kessy automatic locking of vehicle 5. Unfold wing mirrors when staring ignition with start button and NOT when unlocking car 6. Change coming home lights to Fogs 7. Acceleration display. 8. Blind spot detection (Have park assist) 9. Lamp counter 10. Sport profile setting to be more sporty (accelerator response time) 11. Indicator sequencing from the inside outwards. 12. Can you record video output from the 360 camera views to the SD card 13. Rear light on with DRL's 14. Can you activate adaptive cruise control if you already have standard cruise control.

Reading the above,
4 - Use the App. 5 - Don' think that's possible. 6 - Yes this is possible, have a look at the Octavia forum for the answer. 11 - Not sure this is possible as the rear indicator is just on lamp. 13 - The rear lights already come on with the front DRL's, at least they do on my Jan 16 Ateca and I've not programmed them. (We got the car from new). 14 - No. The ACC is a completely different system, you'd need the radar installed for this to work.
