I do have all the required parameter files for A5 & 09, for activating the HD matrix for EU & US versions.
Parameter files is available for A6/S6/RS6 and A7/S7/RS7
ODIS-E is required for installing the parameter files.
After installing the parameter files and activating the Matrix function, Matrix calibration is required.
This can be done with Odis S / E

Coding from Smart matrix(8G4) to HD Matrix (8G5) is as simple as it can be. 09 - Byte 34 - bit 1 - Headlamp_Variant_3 (Change from variant 2 to 3) A5 - Byte 67 Bit 6 - Dynamical Low beam light A5 - Byte 67 Bit 7 - AFS curvelight I have a European A6 C8 which had standard LED headlights and standard LED taillights. I just retrofitted the Smart Matrix (8G4), but still got some errors. Just to verify… so the Smart Matrix (8G4) compared to Matrix HD (8G5) has: 09 Headlamp_Variant_2 A5 Bit 6 - Dynamical Low beam light disabled / turned OFF A5 Bit 7 - AFS curvelight disabled / turned OFF That is correct right? Why are Bit 6 and Bit 7 not available for the Smart Matrix? Could you maybe share your Autoscan when your car was still equipped with the Smart Matrix (8G4)? Then we can compare the codings and see if we missed a setting. Thanks! |

Hello Matrix HD and 8SQ added. No traffic lights. Bugs in the headlights remain. I did not parameterize in A5. Is there a chance for the relevant data? In the 5F, you do not need to change the settings? If so, I would be very grateful for the 5F settings file (adaptations). Thank you in advance. Hi, I have a 2019 A6 Avant with the standard taillights but I just bought the rear HD Matrix ones. The thing is, the taillights that the car was installed with has 4 pin connectors and the new ones have 6 pin connectors. I'd like to know where the 2 extra pins go and what I have to do to program it. Does anyone have the wiring diagram for this car and some more information on what to do?
The VIN is WAUZZZF2XKN062843 and the car is European (specifically Portugal).

I have retrofitted Matrix HD to my A6 C8 - (HD Matrix 8G5)
The car was original equipped from the factory with Smart Matrix (8G4)
Headlight change and coding in 09 & A5.
The above is done at there is no error in the car and every this seems to be working as expected.
I have bought the headlights used, and high beam is out of adjustment, it deviate from the center of the low beam, to the left
The high beam cannot be mechanical adjusted like the low beam. I think
Basic settings in ODIS is done, but that’s for the matrix alignment against A5 camera.
After basic setting high beam is still watching to the left and high
How can I adjust high beam?

You need to install datasæt for 8G5 thats the reason for your highbeam is out of sync with the lowbeam.

You need to install datasæt for 8G5 thats the reason for your highbeam is out of sync with the lowbeam. I had exact the same issue. If you need dataset, send me a pm PM sent |

Car despite saying it will come with HD Matrix lights came with most basic bulb type headlights and rear lights. I can easily get set of HD matrix lights and rear lights but nit sure if they will even have same connections. My current car is s6 avant 2022 has led 8g4 version and I understand 8g5 is plug an play just needs coding. Not sure if you have basic headlights and rear lamps you can still do it. Car is fully.speced with every option there apart from headlights...thanks.

Yes. 2 HD Matrix Headlights with LCMs, 2 wires from ZFAS to BCM and then coding, dataset and calibration.

I just bought the Smart Matrix (8G4). From what I have read I need to code and recalibrate the headlights, I want to know if I can do it with the OBD?
Could someone give me the coding and tell me how I have to do it so that everything works perfectly?

I read the thread very interested. I have an A6 Avant C8 50TDI from 2019. it is a European version. By default, I had the Matrix light installed - I replaced it with the HD Matrix and applied a fixed coding of a dongle. I also put an additional cable in the driver's compartment which was mandatory during the conversion. Everything works except for the high beams. This is aimed way too far to the left and also too high. The illumination is generally very poor. The Audi workshop does not get it right...always say there you can not further change in the coding parameters what.
Therefore, I turn to the forum, whether I can help here with a coding. Diagnostic device for coding is available with me. My mail address is:
