I have retrofitted Matrix HD to my A6 C8 - (HD Matrix 8G5)
The car was original equipped from the factory with Smart Matrix (8G4)
Since the car was borne with matrix light, the retrofit is basically, Headlight change and coding in 09 & A5.
The above is done at there is no error in the car and every this seems to be working as expected.
I have bought the headlights used, and I an unsure if the high beam is out of adjustment, since it deviate from the center of the low beam,
The high beam cannot be mechanical adjusted like the low beam.
Basic settings in ODIS is done, but that’s for the matrix alignment against A5 camera.
Is there a friendly soul with an Audi A6 C8 equipped with HD matrix headlights, that could share a picture of the car, with high beam on standing against a wall, with 3-4 meters to the wall.
Would really appreciate, Thanks in advance

Does anyone have the contact of someone that can enable full matrix LED's for a USA spec car? I assume it requires firmware updates also.

Dear Ustolle, I have a european A6. It has the standard Matrix headlights, not the Matrix HD with dynamic turning signals.
I could buy Matrix HD headlights at a reasonable price, will it work changing only coding in 09 & A5? What did you exactly change?

domchi : YES: But It requires, that you have ODIS-E and a working VAS5054 or VAS6154 adapter available To have your Matrix function activated, you need a new dataset for you’re A5/Zfa module, since the Matrix function is disabled in that module for US models. And the Matrix function need to be calibrated after. bdk1 : I had the same setup as you. Car was originally equipped with the SmartMatrix(PR code: 8G4) from factory. I upgraded to the HD Matrix headlamps(8G5) it’s just 1-1 switch, all wiring is OK. Unfortunately data set for the 8G5 Matrix is missing in 09 & A5. So you need to make long coding in 09 & A5. Can be done with most coding tools( I can provide you with the coding) And you need to update dataset/parameters in 09 & A5. Can only be done with ODIS-E (Maybe VCP) Without those parameters the matrix function in the HD matrix led will newer work. I can provide you with the parameters, but you need to have ODIS and a VAS adapter to code it. To clarify SmartMatrix 8G4 with 7-Led Maxrix  8G5 with 32-Led Matrix + Dynamic turn signal

so I have an Odis-E and a Vas5054a cable, can you help me with the coding? (on my car installation SmartMatrix 8G4 with 7-Led Maxrix) Maybe you could encode them by Team viewer, or would you send me instructions and explain how to do it?

Did you have found the coding for the 8G5 HD matrix for 09 and A5 ? I've read the coding of a A6 equipped with the HD matrix, if usefull i can share it

ustolle Hi! Do you know what it looks, when switching from basic LED lamps to Matrix HD? Also just code 09 and a5? Is there any extra wiring going? Maybe you have a diagram like the one above, but for basic led lamps?

Coding from Smart matrix(8G4) to HD Matrix (8G5) is as simple as it can be.
09 - Byte 34 - bit 1 - Headlamp_Variant_3 (Change from variant 2 to 3)
A5 - Byte 67 Bit 6 - Dynamical Low beam light
A5 - Byte 67 Bit 7 - AFS curvelight

7goospery look in the above post. i can easily provide you with wiring schematics for the two types of headlights Connectors for the headlights is the same. but you will need to add front level sensor. not a big job..... And then some additional coding, but that can easily be extracted from a vcds dump

Man, I sure wish a US spec matrix headlight code be coded to have sweeping turn signals. I've got a '21 Allroad, Prestige that I've upgraded the tail lights to full Euro spec with sweeping turn signals, rear fog lights, etc. and sure would like the turn signals to match without replacing the head lights...

I bought HD MATRIX headlights to change my Smart Matrix lights. I installed them yesterday on the car. I'm trying to make them working but at the momment no light from the new ones. Anyone can help me with EU coding for HD MATRIX and how to run them 🙄 I have ODIS-E and all other programs, but...
