I recently bought a new pair of taillights ( link to taillights) for my Audi a4 b8 and i installed them. Everything went well and it looks great. Since a couple of weeks i recieve an error (with a beeping sound) in the display behind the steering wheel when i turn on the ignition. It says that there is an error in the rear left, and sometimes rear right, light. I checked if there was an error, but the light function correctly and all the wires are connected like they suppose to. Can somebody help me out? Is there a methode to disable the check on the rear lights? Or is there a coding to make my car accept this 'upgrade'? Kind regards, Danny Kizzle

I think it is a problem with the resistor inside the taillights. Thats why you get an error message

Do you think so? It is possible, so i send a message to dectane.de. I hope that they can give me more information. The strange thing about this is that i only happens when its cold outside, like below 10 degrees. When it is warmer it doesn't happen.
A bit of topic (sorry) but you say that there is a problem with the resistor. Can that be fixed?
But there is no coding to disable the check on the rear lights? Because i don't want them to be checked at all. It doesn't matter. Thanks!

Yes it will be a problem with dectane taillights, may there is a coding for led (don are you here) i dont know the coding. A friend had also dectane in his 2011 a4 and had problems with it. Dectane would change these. Its 99% a resistor problem. Your car still thinks there are normal bulbs inside the taillight, inside or as an extra part at the led taillights is an resistor wich is for that there comes no error.
