Hey all,
I took my 2018 Golf R 7.5 to the mountains this weekend where it experienced a bit of snow (nothing crazy, <4"). After I got all the snow off, I noticed a warning message on the dashboard saying "Front Assist Unavailable." I ran a diagnosis and 2 faults came up on module 13 - Adaptive Cruise Control: C110300 twice. I tried clearing it to not avail but then tried again and it worked. I then ran a ACC Recalibration which seemed to have resolved the issue. After driving ~ 5 miles, the warning came back and this time it wasn't as simple to resolve. I've tried clearing it multiple times, to no avail, and am not able to run the Recalibration because there's an issue detected.
I called a couple of local dealers, both of which said that this isn't covered under my warranty and that labor would be 500-700, which is INSANE for what is potentially a misaligned sensor. As far as I can tell, the sensors are seated properly, clean, and free of any obstructions.
Has anyone here been able to successfully resolve this issue without taking it into the dealer?
Happy to provide more information as needed.

The 7.5 ACC is not ment to be calibrated with turning screws and so on. What exact errors are popping up? Still misaligned? Make sure the sensor and logo are free of salt, snow and ice. Also make sure that the sensor is correctly snapped in place - maybe remove the logo to be sure. After that, do a test drive on the most straight roads you can find. Calibration is done "dynamic" - while driving, with nothing to do but to be patient.
Entering static calibration without a calibration field in the workshop will not calibrate the sensor, but will reset learning values, not a good idea...

lejuice: To add to newty suggestion - while test driving the car you need to actually follow a vehicle in front to establish dynamic calibration. So turn-on ACC (with the error showing) and most important - be patient (as newty says)! Don

Thank you both for the recommendations! Let me try doing that over the next few days and see what happens.

Hi, I have the same issue as OP (wonder if he resolved it?) my 2019 alltrack S does not even have ACC, just front assist. Light won’t go away after cleaning from it turning on from snow after a couple weeks. When you say “dynamic calibration” is this a setting on obd11? Or something the car automatically does periodically?

Thank you for the info, i had an issue with doing basic static settings by mistake, i have tried what you posted, with activating dynamic option on obdeleven, drowe around 30 min and about 35 km and it worked.

How does one "activate dynamic option on OBDeleven"? Under basic settings, mine only lists static calibration. (I have '19 VW Jetta/GLI 35th Anniv, 6MT w/ Front Assist only.)
