My car is NAR spec Golf GTI and I have the Climatronic unit. I've read on MK7 forums that the car should have an air quality sensor installed but I want to check on OBD11. Where can I find this?
Also if the aforesaid sensor is installed, would I be able to code the Air Care function? Currently, I don't have Air Care setting in the HVAC menu. Thanks.

Given the I live in the very deep south, I don't get to see too many NAR model Golfs down here - but in general, the Air Quality Sensor (G238) lives in the fresh air intake chamber (under the windscreen). On Left Hand Drive cars it's normally installed on the right side. To get access, you usually need to remove the plenum cover.
The software switch that tells the hex08 module that the sensor is installed is Byte 9, Bit 0. So you simply need to look at this Byte/Bit on the long-code string for the hex08 module (with OBD11) to check if G328 is installed (you don't need to physically eyeball the sensor)

masadrh123 : Huh? If G328 is installed in the car -it is a sensor that's used by the AIR CON equipment. Why do you expect to find a user accessible screen/button to control the sensor - there are none!! Don
