I retrofitted Hella 25w d8s OEM US Spec headlights using the kufatec harness to my 2019 US spec beetle cabrio s - no fog lights, manual headlights (two position on, off)
I did long coding per kufatec instructions but the DRLs were not working but I was able to turn them on by activating DRL to Yes and activated the setting to turn off DRL when handbrake is activated - these change Byte 23
However I have a couple of issues still:
- High beams only work in flash to pass mode. When I push the stalk BRIEFLY forward to activate high (main) beams the high beams come on but the moment I push it to the locked high (main) beam position, the headlights switch back to low (dipped) beam.
- Cornering light faults in central electronics. I’ve tried deactivating cornering light settings including turning off cornering/fog light diagnosis but the faults came back
any ideas/pointers appreciated
