Hi!
Yesterday I became aware of that my second car, the Honda CR-V 2006, had an ODB11 port. I was not aware of that Honda was not a supported vehicle, so I plugged in the dongle, entered the VIN, and the app replied with "Honda". So far so good, I thought. I then started the scanning. The following observations could be made:
1. As my iPhone was a business phone, the screen was from security reasons automatically locked after 5 minutes (this could not be changed). When the screen locked, the scanning "session" stopped. To continue the scanning I had to unlock the screen by entering the pincode.
2. A total number of 221 modules were scanned (approx. 15 for each "scanning session", see point 1 above). Apparently the scanning was successful -> 0 problems for module after module were reported (even if I know I have an alternator problem).
3. However, these 221 modules being scanned did not belong to my Honda, but my Audi e-tron. "Night vision" is not a feature of the Honda 2006 ...
4. When the scanning after approx. 15 "sessions" was completed with 0 problems found, I got the message "scanning unsuccessful, please try again" or something like this.
Questions; - Why couldn't the scanning continue even if the screen of the phone is locked? - Why couldn't the app (from the entered VIN) tell right away that the vehicle is not supported instead of indicating "Honda", leaving me to belive that scanning could be (successfully) started?
Best regards, Ola

oll1954 its been a while since i used this feature but it is very buggy I am afraid. When I raised the issue a while ago it was confirmed that Honda and Porche are not supported as the OBD2 connection is pinned differently to other vehicles, but you are correct it does not tell you.
