Just made my account and this is my first post. I'm finally looking to put OBD11 to use!
I recently installed some import headlights I got as a gift. The company was too lazy to wire the lights properly such that no CELs display, but I figure I can code the CEL for the DRL away away by switching it to the headlight circuit. Am I correct in my thinking?

I have the VLAND ones that China is selling on Amazon. My CELs are for the left and right daytime running lights.
I've tried some of the long coding, but I think each car is different, especially when it comes to my car haha. I see they have an app that turns DRLs off, but I'm suspect whether it will work or not.
The main reason that I'm suspect is that it costs 10 credits and it probably won't work, but I'm also wondering if I need to install the old lights, then deactivate, and then reinstall the aftermarket headlights. My thinking there is that I will have a better chance for success when the circuit actually has continuity.
Why these loons couldn't wire the lights the same, I will never know...maybe there are different pin configurations around the world. I'll never put anything past VW after Dieselgate haha!

Damn I guess I needed to refresh myself on the Pro credit system. And I know it's nothing, it's just annoying lol.
I'll see if that bit/byte combo works for me too. If not, I'll re-pin the harness. I'd like to make the U-shaped DRLs work during night and day light positions, if possible. I'm thinking a PNP transistor can do what I need too.
