Hi. I bought an obd11 pro (didn't arrive yet). And I have some questions. Does it have an option to reset the Service Reminder directly (European version) or does it need a code? If it needs a code, what is the code? Does the odb11 dongle works with other applications or only "OBD2 VW diagnostic car scanner"? Why do I still need to pay for credits in the pro version? (Nowhere in the obdeleven.com/ is mentioned that the app has functions that need credits to work! Don't you think that a limitation like that should be stated there?) Do you plan to offer an offline version to PRO clients? Thanks.

Yes, you can reset the service reminder directly (yourself) or use the APPS option to do so (for the initial 10 credits that you get free).
The dongle does NOT work with any other application
You still need to purchase credits since you are automating a manual change (that you could also have done yourself for free). If you open the app each day, you may notice that you get 1 free credit per day (so it adds up).
This app is constantly being updated on the back-end and as such the database is stored online, hence NO there will not be an offline version. You will appreciate the need for this when the LONG CODING helper is implemented with descriptions for each bit and byte. Please remember that not all MK5's use the same ECU (hence there has to be constant updates to the online database).
Note well: Look at how many times Ross-Tech has to release Vag-Com updates for even older vehicles.
Go to Instrument cluster > Adaptation > Channel 2 > Set new value to 0 to clear the service reminder.

Thanks for the replies. I get your explanations but, I think you should at least mention the credits system in your site nevertheless. I'm still waiting for my odb11 to arrive. It should be almost here I hope! Then I will try your instructions. Thanks Again.

I'm no way affiliated with this application or this forum. I'm just a customer who has used this application for some time. The device and application is definitely worth the investment if you don't want to spend money buying the more expensive tool from Ross-Tech. You can get free credit by tapping that option in the splash screen (in the lower-right corner) and watch the advertisement for a moment. I think you can do this for about 5 times each day (therefore after 2 days you have 10 credits to activate a particular APP feature). The credits aren't necessary if you know the manual steps (in terms of toggling the bits and bytes) yourself to get the objective you want. This device has paid for itself since I use it daily to make changes to my car and see what each controller is doing. Edit: Since you don't have your device yet, you can do these steps outlined below (taken from here: www.golfmkv.com/forums/showthread.php?t=98232 )

I'll tell you the hardware part number at the moment. You don't even need the tool to reset the reminder if you followed the steps posted above.

Hello, I have a 2008 VW R32 and I have the pro version. When I attempt to reset the service reminder it tells me "Not Supported". Any ideas??? I am also not able to do a throttle adaptation.

When I get to my car, I'll tell you how to do it manually with OBDeleven using the adaptation channels for your instrument cluster.
To do the throttle adaptation, your engine should be OFF, but the ignition ON.

I guess the consensus is that the OBDeleven tool does not work on the 2008 Golf's, in particular my 2008 VW R32. It does not even let me do a throttle adaptation which is what
I got it for in the first place. I thought the developers would fix this, but I guess once they have your money it stops there. If I had known it was this bad I would not have
wasted my money...My fault for not doing proper research. I sent them an email and all I got was a msg telling to check the forums where someone is telling us the method that
is in the owner's manual which I have already and know.

OBDeleven does it in the same manner that VCDS and ODIS does. You didn't waste your money. Try these steps on your VR6, with the ignition ON, Engine OFF, and no touching the accelerator until instructed. Give it about 15 seconds between each electronic step. wiki.ross-tech.com/wiki/index.php/2.0l_TFSI_(AXX/BGB/BPJ/BPY/BWA)I believe Group 60 should behave the same on your VR6 as it seems standard across VAG models. In OBDeleven, you wait between each electronic process of the throttle body to ensure it goes through smoothly, so the calibration isn't corrupted.
