Hello,

i'm new on this board and i have a question regarding up-dating of the channel description and the description of the values for example in Live Data.

In case i'm connected with my engine control unit (Seat Leon 1M, enigne code APP) and i change the description of the channels and the values for example channel 1 = Basic function, value 1= Engine speed or i add the range for value 1 700-820rpm in the description

Question 1)Are this changes than only stored on my device/account or is it shared than with the hole community?

Question 2)In case the information up-dated by me is shared with all devices, are this information just shown to other user with a 1M and an APP engine or also to users which have this engine installed in their cars like TT, GOLF or Passat?

I just want to be sure that i do not confuse other people in case the channels, values or range is not matching with their engnie code.

1) The descriptions are shared with the community. (There should also be a popup telling you this if you start editing those descriptions)
2) Not completely sure but i think the info only appears for other users if they have the same engine/control module. Wouldn't make any sense if the info would appear on other modules that have a different structure.

I did some editing on the description and text on Values 1-4 but it was removed so I most likely did something wrong. Are there some tips and trix to edit these developer inputs?

I found the live data channels for front and rear parking sensors in Central Electrics and I thought some explaining text would help others.
