Hi all
After just upgrading to a 2020 (Oct 2020 build date) Tiguan 140TDI Highline R-line, I was pretty devo'd to find out that most of the adaptations, and even the apps in the OBDEleven app itself don't work on our cars! What a pain in the arse!
So I thought it would be helpful if we made a post where we can list all of the mods/adaptations that we have successfully carried out on our cars.
So far I have only managed to get a few working:
Lane keep - changed the intervention point to early, which now keeps me centred in the lane, instead of veering from side to side and only pulling in when nearing the lines.
I can't believe it wasn't set up like that from factory! It makes such a difference, and it was so annoying that first drive where it kept telling me to drive in the centre of the lane. That is not always the safest place to be.. The lane assist system does seem to work better in this car vs my old 2018 one, in that it picks up the lines a lot better, but it is also very persistent in telling me to take over the steering, even when I have my hands on the wheel but am not providing steering input.
Comfort indicator - changed from 3 to 4 blinks.
Seat belt tone - removed.
There were quite a few that I went in to the long coding section, but it was all just blank and unticked, so that's not much help.
Unfortunately most of the other changes I have tried to do thus far have gone that way.
I still want to enable overtaking on the left, change the throttle response to direct, set the windows to close automatically if it starts raining, set the DRLs to the Scandinavian style with the tail lights on, and put the DRL enable/disable option in the MIB settings area.
I had all of these done on my previous car.
Has anyone gotten any others working?
Any of the apps confirmed as working? I don't want to have to waste 10 credits (at least) each time only to find out that it doesn't work..

I have a MY2021 TIGUAN Life and until now i have managed to activate just the adaptive lane guidance and blower display in auto operation.
If you know how to activate one of this, please update me so i can activate them:
light assist - Automatic high beam.
Sign assist.
Sign assist working with adaptive cruse control, i think its called "adaptive cruise control ACC with predictive speed control"?
Air Recirculation Memory.
Real time tire pressure if that's even possible.
Gauge needle sweep.
Lane assist vibration intensity adjustment.
Refuel amount.
Enable mirror/puddle lights when mirrors are folded.
More cooler a/c.
Air care memory.
Auto closing windows when raining.
Windscreen wipers - delayed second wipe after screen wash/Tear-drop Wiping on Front Wipers.
Start engine stop button pulse/ heartbeat effect.
And do you know how to add radio station logo cause its not working for me , does it work for you?

Wow that's a long list you've got!
Annoyingly on mine at least no apps show up, but when I search for a 2020 model, lots of them do. When I put my VIN number in though, it comes up as a 2021 model, even though it was built in 2020..
I wonder if there is any way around that.?
I haven't had to play around with the lights as dynamic light assist came standard on mine.
And the steering wheel vibration I was able to deactivate just from the in car settings.
Lately all of the adaptations I try just come up with an error, 'Oops something went wrong, please try again later', so I'm not sure how much more I will be able to do..
And when I go in to the long coding in most of the control units, everything just shows as blank and unselected.

Opening the bonnet did the trick for me, I was able to change the coding like that.

Hello,
On my 2021 R-Line 150cv DSG, I manage this that works :
- Direct throttle response : unit 44 > login 19249 > Driving profile switchover > "Incremental, controlled over time" > change to "direct, control over threshold value"
- Lane assist, deactivate by default on start (last setting) : unit A5 > adaptation > Configuration_for_lane... > "Activated" > change to "Last_setting"
- Auto High Beam on start : unit 09 > adaptation > Fernlicht_assistent > "Fernlichtassistent Reset > "Active" > change to "inactive"
> don't forget to open the bonnet
After that, I would like to activate the rear DRL lights (I have IQ Light), do you have some informations about that??
I read on many posts on many models (audi, golf, passat) is in : unit 09 > adaptation > Leuchte 16 17 23 24 but which lichtfunktion???

Can someone please tell me how to get sign dynamic sign assist working. I was able to do it in my 2021 atlas but my 2021 Tiguan sel r is the new nav system. I am new to all this so I would need great directions and I am willing to pay 530628714@protonmail.com

Still not much on here for us recent year owners hey? 😢
I have managed to get a bunch of adaptations working, but so many just aren't the same as older ones. The adaptations either just aren't where they used to be, or they're in German, and the long coding just shows as blank. Such a shame.

freeway In multimedia, select the export to digital display option. then 5F - adaptation - Dashboard display configuration - ability switch match Maps- off. reset multimedia - maps will now appear on both the digital instrument cluster and multimedia.

Good morning guys I am trying to activate adaotive lane Guidance and I can't. Even though the adaptive lane Guidance appear on infotainment system (after I changed point of intervention to early via menu) I can't chose it-select it. Could you please share your A5 unit info ?
