Hi everyone, does anyone know where can I find something like list of platforms for VAG's car? I'm asking because by this way I can see which cars I can code in the same way (correct me if I'm wrong). Also I saw a lot of coding lists for VCDS on google and I was wondering if procedure is the same for obdeleven( like same channel, byte...)? Thanks in advance

william00 if you want a list of platforms do a search on wiki for Volkswagen Group platforms Further if you do a wiki search for each car then it normally tells you what platform. Be warned that the MQB Platform is not just one platform there are variations, again wiki search for VW MQB PLatform will give more details. With regards to VCDS Coding yes once you get the hang of how to use the data it is the same as obd11 its just the process can be slightly different. Final point and i think dv52 (Australia) pointed this out to you before just because cars are on the same platform you cant assume the coding will copy across. A simple example of this is needle sweep (this is when the dials all do a sweep when you turn on the ignition) this works on Many VW Golfs but on the Leon it is very dependent on what hardware you have installed (yes they all have a dashboard but different dashboards have different firmware that support different changes). so please don't ASSUME that because they are on the same platform the coding will work. There are plenty of sites out there that will list change and coding and often limitations. Further be aware that at certain points (2016 being a prime example) vw will change the setup of the cars so if its an early car one thing a later car different but they are both on the same platform.
