Hi there
I have changed the door modules to fit the folding mirrors, I have positioned them correctly but they work in reverse, with the driver's door switch I control the right side and with the passenger door the left side.
I have put (5Q0 959 593 B) on the left and (5Q0 959 592 B) on the right.
I don't know why this happens.
My car has a left hand drive.
If you can help me I would appreciate it.

plaver : hmm.............. I've seen this before! Where did you buy the new modules? Most likely, the issue is the dataset that have been programmed into the modules; I suspect that the modules are intended for a right-hand-drive car and your car is LHD.
Think of a dataset as a bunch of parameters that instructs the door modules what to do when the buttons are pressed. VW uses the same modules (same P/N) on lots of their models. However, they load different datasets into the module firmware to make them compatible with cars which have the steering wheel on either side.
So the dataset is very similar to long-code and adaptation channels. However, the big difference is that the dataset is NOT meant to be changed once installed in the module - unlike long-code and channels
Bottom line- if I'm correct - the modules need to be re-parametrized to LHD. OBD11 won't work - you need the dealer tool. ODIS. Don |

plaver: No - it's not "badly coded" -the modules are correctly coded for a car that has the steering wheel on the right-side of the car. But you have installed the modules on a car that has the steering wheel on the left-side. A dealer can fix this by changing the dataset on each module Don
